Parkinson’s Women Support is growing, and we’re making space for our new members! Since our group has grown, it has been a challenge to find enough seats for everyone at our luncheons. To accommodate our big family, we’ve organized several geographically based chapters in the greater Bay Area.

• PWS Mid-Peninsula
• PWS South Bay
• PWS East Bay
• PWS Stockton

Our mission has always been to offer
~moral support
~ encouragement
~ camaraderie

for women who are living with Parkinson’s Disease. The group’s focus is on living life as fully as possible with PD.

Our groups meet for lunch once a month – usually in member’s homes. We are not a traditional support group in that we do not have speakers or a set agenda. Our focus is on getting to know each other and share our experiences with PD.

If you would like to join us, please email Susan Fostersfoster@learningdesignsinc.com. If you would like help in starting a women’s support group in your community, please email Susan Foster @ sfoster@learningdesignsinc.com

A Facebook ChangeWe’re also making structural changes in our social media outreach. Darcy Blake will continue to manage the Parkinson’s Women Support Facebook page. On March 22, we will add the word support to our username parkinsonswomen on FacebookWe hope you will click the like button on our page in Facebook to stay in touch!

Blog Change Darcy’s blog will be called Parkinson’s Women at url www.parkinsonswomen.com. She will continue her editorial blog independently, covering PD topics such as DBS, advocacy, and research. Parkinson’s Women will be her personal expression rather than a group expression on behalf of Parkinson’s Women Support chapters.
