OCTOBER 26, 2015 | EDITOR’S NOTE: We’re filled with pride to report on The Valley Princesses, a spawn group of Parkinson’s Women Support who met today for the third time. Though it’s a little bittersweet because we adore and don’t want to lose our friends Leslie Sherman, and Charlie Lefevre, we couldn’t be more pleased for them. If you are in their area, try their group. They are gems! Here is Leslie Sherman’s report!
Valley Princess Report: San Joaquin, Amador & Stanislaus Counties by Leslie Sherman
The Valley Princesses met today for the third time. We meet each month on the fourth Monday. Each month we have met at a different restaurant- once in Stockton and twice in Manteca. We have a total of 9 women on our e-mail list so far with 5 attending the first month, 4 the second month and 5 today. Each time we have had at least one new person.
We are open to women who have Parkinson’s who would like to meet with us and live in our geographical area that includes San Joaquin, Amador and Stanislaus counties.
Today we discussed a myriad of things, including the conference held last weekend, DBS, exercises we do, possible depression and apathy due to Parkinson’s and ways we can help each other. Marlene volunteered to have us at her home possibly in November to watch the National Geographic show which occurred last evening about DBS surgery. I will be sending out an e-mail on this soon.
We are all very happy to have found one another and hope others will join us in the future!
Please contact Leslie Sherman if you are interested in joining us at firstname.lastname@example.org or (209) 483-3345.
