MAR 13, 2014 | by Darcy Blake | This year, there appear to be about 66 entries in the American Brain Foundation’s 2014 Neuro Film Festival. Now in its fifth year, and a project of the American Brain Foundation, the Neuro Film Festival aims to raise awareness about why more funding is needed for research into the prevention, treatment, and cure of brain diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease, stroke, autism, Parkinson’s disease, and multiple sclerosis. My film, Before and After DBS is one of the entries. Beginning March 20, the public voting period will open for all of the approved entries. If there’s a way you can remember to check in on March 20 to vote for my film, I’d appreciate it. The Parkinson’s Women Support is mentioned, and I’d love to give them as much exposure as possible. Winners of the Grand Prize and Fan Favorite categories will be notified in April 2014. Thanks to the talented Cindy DeLuz for her wonderful illustrations such as Faith, that add so much to the film. Thanks to all of you as well, for I couldn’t tell our story without you.
