APRIL 2013  We heard from physical therapist clinician Miriam Boelen from Illinois who has specialized in Parkinson’s disease for 23 years, working closely with Movement Disorder neurologists. She has written a newly published book, “How To Live Well With Parkinson’s: Advice From a Physical Therapist” which is intended for the person who has PD and caregivers. It contains over 200 illustrations. This book encompasses everything she reviews with her patients in therapy. It includes prevention and self-management. A tell-all for all to read!
